FUTURE ROYALTY ADMINISTRATION
On January 27, 2017, the Court issued an Order Granting Preliminary Approval of Settlement. The Court will hold a Final Approval Hearing on May 8, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. to decide whether to approve the Settlement. No payments will be issued unless and until the Court enters a Final Judgment approving the Settlement.
If the Settlement is approved, the Settlement Class members who did not opt-out must submit claims through a Royalty Claims Website in order to be entitled to royalties for Sirius XM’s performance of properly Identified Pre-1972 Sound Recordings.
Class Counsel recently retained Music Reports to serve as the future Royalty Administrator which will facilitate the overall Royalty Program, including the Royalty Claims Website. For more information, you may view the Services Agreement between Class Counsel and Music Reports here.
Please continue to check this website periodically for updates regarding the Settlement and for information regarding the Royalty Claims Website and future royalty administration.
